Just wondering if there is a way to open the boot when I pull over. Such as when someone is getting out at the airport and grabbing their bags from the boot.

SCENARIO: pull over and car is idle. Passenger gets out to open boot but boot is locked. How do I open the boot?

CURRENT FIX: turn car off and boot unlocks...:fum:. Would prefer passenger be able to open it while car is running/idle.

My understanding was the car 'unlocks' when a door is opened and therefore the boot is unlocked. But apparently not. How can I unlock the boot from the drivers seat??

That's an odd one. Maybe I've never had that scenario.? Might be a setting in the set up menus? Have you tried pressing the lock/unlock button in the middle of the dash under the stereo?  :undecided:

Did you open drivers door?

Try that to see if boot unlocks

There is a setting for auto lock doors in the dash menu. And an unlock all button on the center console. Pretty sure it just unlocks the door that is opened.

I set mine not to lock the doors when driving away - doors are only locked when I manually lock them. Problem solved. ( Id pull up, and forget to unlock the doors when picking up my wife)

Tried mine today.

Been driving and doors on auto lock.

Stopped and i, the driver, got out and went to open boot, engine still running.

As i opened drivers door, all doors unlocked as well as boot.

Need to test on front passenger door next and rear doors when i get a willing participant.....

nospare had a PD model, so may be different to your GD's.. I'll try and remember to test it when someone is around to try the boot while i'm still in the driver's seat.  :undecided:

Just wait an extra 30 seconds at the lights next time, Dazz. Someone will turn up to 'help'. :P

That's brilliant  (sort of)

I think crime in Devonport has reduced lately though since I've been walking the streets (in my cape) :winker:

Good idea. Having only owned this car for 2 weeks I had no idea that unlock button existed. I am yet to test it (had no passengers :() but I'm certain this will be the solution. Thanks
