Bob Hawke Dies, the final nail in Morrison's run.

I read that ex- PM Bob Hawke has died.
I can only see this as the last nail in Scott Morrison's hope for re-election.
Morrison has spun the 'only Liberals can control the economy' line , as usual.
However, electors will be reminded, 2 days out from voting , that the Hawke - Keating team was financially the most progressive government we have had since WW2.

Irrespective of political leanings, we have to admit that Shorten is all we have.

While in Poland, I made a detour to Warsaw.

My mission was to go to the Oz Embassy and (vote) aka drive a stake through the heart of my evil local member_ Peter Dutton.

A few days later Keating was advising Dixon voters to do just that.

Incidentally, I as a life long non- partisan, self employed, bloke I vote for the best man, labor lib or Green.

The danger in voting for the best man is that party politics can remove him before he can deliver. Some thought needs to be given to the party behind the man, to anticipate what you get without him.

When I met Mal recently(just before his demise) I wasn't at all impressed. Although I rate him higher than Abbott (doesn't say much for Abbott)

Don't know about 'no use' but I get your sentiment. I have no party allegiance, and I don't think it's the uniform that does that. I decide at every vote - one vote, but it's mine, not a party's. Yep, do not like the man at all. There aren't a lot in the party that I do like to be honest. I'm glad Dutton, Pyne and Joyce have pretty much disappeared from being featured [although I just spied the latter's ugly mug on the TV just now]. They need some young fresh blood.

One expert is already predicting a Coalition victory, based on a strong showing in QLD.
Another commentator, an ex Senator is saying based on current figures Labor won't habebthe numbers for a majority government.

Still early days though.
