-  After having issues with driver side rear door lock the rear passenger side door lock stopped working also...
+ warmed up the car for several hours with electric heater and both rear door locks started working again.

+Rally shakedowns and opening ceremony ran today!
-I Live 30km from Vargåsen(SS11/SS14), but won't be able to make it there on Saturday, standing out in the forest in -10c for the better part of a day is apparently to much for a 1 year old according to my wife, I thought that was why we have winter overalls for her. Next year I can hopefully bring some friends out and watch.  :blubber:

Atleast national TV is airing 10 hours of Rally this year. :)

Second day into a weeks holiday here in Sydney....reminds me of Melbourne a bit...yesterday nice and fine and today pouring with rain.....can't bitch really as the firefighters need all the help they can get.... it seems they wrote off the i30 since it deployed all the air bags.....it seems to be a general thing that if you deploy at least 3 or 4 airbags....they write it off....

- got my car washed recently and spotted the hatch's door (rear door or whatever it is called) had rust again. 1.5 years ago it was already repainted by local dealer and again it came  :'(. Looks like it is the common problem of Korean cars (had the same problem with my i30).

Must be your climate + salt on the roads. Very rare occurrence with i30's or Kia's in Australia. Not good Misha! :Pout:

Only 1000km to the next oil change, jumped me this time so I first got around to ordering oil today and need to pick up a filter too. My oil reseller has stocked 5l cans of 0w-30 helix ultra pro C3 at a good price and shipping included to my door. :)

The assessor assessed it at 20000, and now it goes back to the insurance company for them to do their bit....still a loss of 13000from when it was new and it was in immaculate condition. We can't get a second hand Premium of the same year for 20000........that bingle turned into a loss.....

Sorry to hear that John. Hopefully you can negotiate a higher value by showing them you can't source an equivalent for that sort of money. Get them to go the others insurance for the diff (if they had any) :fum:

Winter is still going strong. Snow melted mostly away, but more is forecast today. Dirty, dirty car, but it looks comparably clean on picture compared to in person. View is nice though, wish mister sunshine had come out to play.

@Shambles to often my wife says, to seldom I say. Poor car caught in the dirt.  :blubber:

Was probably 2-3 weeks(and 3k km) since last time, this weather we have had the last weeks is terrible, just below freezing so the salt is effective and the roads constantly wet. Rather sunshine and 25c from freezing, in either direction...

That's not even bad for a black car. Mine isn't in any better condition...

...but could be worse (that's from sometime last November)

...or like this (from 3 years ago)
