Hi all Sorry to restart an old thread, but my door handle has suddenly stopped working. Does anyone have the TSB number for this particular problem? I'm not sure whether my Hyundai Dealer is going to play ball regarding supplying a cable. They were going to call me this morning but failed to do so. Oh, mine's a 2010 i30 1.6 CRDi ....................... and I love it! Keep up the outstanding work,

Last day of 2016 and my 2009er is showing the first sign of her age. The little black panel against the door's window rubber just ahead of the triangular window is showing signs of stress with the plastic developing a crease parallel to the rubber (poor design). Any idea what this is called?

So I have a 2009 i30 with a 6 speed manual gearbox, where unfortunately the other day the 6th gear went. Am looking to buy a replacement gearbox, and have found some good options on eBay (which are in the region of £300 rather than the £900 quoted by my local gearbox specialist to sort it out). But all the options on eBay are for i30 models from 2012 onwards.
I know that i30s from 2012+ look different on the outside, but I was wondering how different they are on the inside, and whether there would be any compatibility issues in trying to fit a newer gearbox into my 2009 i30. Any thoughts?

Greetings all, I have a 2012 Trophy i30, which has just developed a new problem.
When I lock the car, I hear this horrid grinding/buzzing noise coming out of the rear passenger side door handle area. I did some searching on the forum and it seems this means it needs a new actuator or something...and that the lock is skipping teeth and making the noise.
It still locks OK - but is this anything to worry about re: the lock failing and potentially a security issue for the car???
It is still under warranty, so I'm guessing it will be covered, just know it will probably take a while to get into the dealer to get this fixed given the holidays.

I bought a hyundai i30 2009 and had 2 keys. The second one had a broken blade so I bought a new key fob with uncut blade and went to make a copy of the original blade that I am using. Then I went home and take out the old key took the transponder, chip and baterry and put inside my new key.So I went and try to open and close my car with the remote and it works good but when I try to start my car with my new key it wont start, also I've noticed that the little key on the dashboard doesnt turn on when I insert my new key. How can I fix this and use my new key ??

My engine coolant level is sitting exactly half way between max & min when engine cold but exactly on max when engine warm. Does it need a top up and what do I buy, obviously not just water as in the UK and very cold. The coolant is a blue colour. Sorry guys, I'm not great with car knowledge lol. Does a car naturally use some water as it's always been on max until lately?

I had the wieredest experience today, hopefully someone can help me.
I Drove to work, all fine car unlocked/locked perfectly fine. 2 hours later i go back and the car wont unlock with the remote, (me thinking the *remote* batterys gone) so i use the key to unlock the drivers door. I get in and push the button to unlock all doors. No doors unlocked. Thinking i gotto go, i drove off (No warnings on dashboard).
Start driving and then the boot open displays, i pulled into the nearest car park and the boot wont open with the button. Got back in and used the manual release slammed it shut. Boot Light still flashing. NOW ive just realised the rpm is stuck on 900 rpm (engine is off). I turn ignition on and th...
At my service 2 weeks ago Hyundai (Rockingham) informed me that my cabin filter was very dirty and needed replacing, I asked how much and was told $80 told them no way am I paying a ridiculous price like that for a paper filter and I questioned how they can justify that price, they answered with Hyundai spare parts are costly due to their excellent qualit...
