Okay, got to testdrive the new i30 today.
Like I wrote yesterday I would like to testdrive the 1,4 T-GDi. Disappointed. Not with the car though, as it turns out that engine option won't be introduced in DK before May. Why the hell do they advertice it if it isn't available..
Well, I got to drive the 1,0 T-GDi Premium. Overall a nice car, the steering wasn't as bad as expected actually. Very comfy seats and the interior looks very nice.
The engine have enough power to keep up with the traffic and is not heard much inside. It does have the turbo lag Tohis mentioned. It's quite annoying even when revved up to 3000 before next gear, it shouldn't have that lag like the turbo pressure totally disappears when selecting the next gear.
Wind noise is not an issue, but I really hope there was something wrong with the tyres on the testcar. (Hankook 205/55/16) The noise from the wheels was even worse than in my old 2008 i30 and wheel noise is one of the few things I dislike about my current car.
