Hi,

When I go to the Phone screen on our i30, I get the alpha sort.

How can I make this first screen be the fav contacts so I can make a quick call of I need, not have to search.

It is Dec 2016 new i30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 via Blue tooth

I can only comment on my i30 GD stereo unit but there is no setting to skip screens straight to contacts, you need to search every time.

The horse & cart method is to rename your favourites with leading numbers or 'aa', assuming you have no aardvark you don't want as a favourite.
