Hi, noticed something today. When I put the accelerator all the way to the floor it feels like there's a notch, thought it was on the floor at first but then went even further. Difficult to describe, it's a bit like driving an automatic and reaching the kickdown. But this is the 1.6 crdi manual on a 2009 plate.

I've got something similar on my GD, it's just where the back of the pedal arm clicks into the stop on foot piece if you push to far.

You wont get any extra zip from pushing past the stop clip, probably just damage it in the end if done continually.

You don't have cruise control, do you?

Sounds like the detente used to overcome the speed limiter, as I have on mine.

No, no cruise control. Will have to have a look at it and see why

kick-down feature to save you from flooring it..Its one of those "green" things.... Have it on mine ´16 too & will be one of those things that suddenly will be just a memory when my mods get to that point
