I wanted to share my experience about buying and installing  extra rubbers for doors, bonnet etc
Something like that

but I have not bought a kit but individualy rubbers p type z type etc. I have links below in my second message.

After installing them I hear for sure  less road noise with a  cost of rubbers that was only 20 pounds. I have tested the car to roads that are harsh and the noise is
reduced significally and I can hear much better the music! Also doors closing noise is better( just need more pressure to close). I can add some photos about the changes I have made this week.

We bought a Hyundai i30 1.6 CRDi 110 DCT-7 Blue Drive , Diesel, Automatic, Executive in October 2015. It is LHD and French registered but we have it looked after here in the UK by Johnson of Oxford because the service level we got in France just didnít do it. We love the car, the build quality, thoughtful design and the way it drives.

A couple of months ago with about 18K miles (29k Km) I noticed a juddering when pulling away in traffic or edging forward in queues and the gearbox didnít always want to change down a gear when going up hills in gears below 4th. It is like driving with a learner! Have you experienced this?

It is not a great problem but I thought I should check it out while in the UK as I wouldnít want the...

Hi All

Bought a second hand i30 Turbo about 3 weeks ago but due to other commitments it has sat mostly on the drive and have only done about 150 miles in it since collection (22,000 when bought)

I noticed a knocking sound coming from the driver-side front wheel area last night when driving home and was just wondering if anyone's had anything similar.

Knocking noise rises and falls to match road speed and the brakes and engine seem unaffected so I hope (for sake of cost) that something has just come loose or a wheel bearing needs replacing.

Car was in good nick when collected from Hyundai and has been seemingly well looked after by previous owner (way more servicing/maintenance in log book than re...

Hi guys,

I'm picking up my Manual i30 SR soon and noticed that the headlights aren't as white as the premium model.
Any idea if I can just change the bulb? If so, what bulb is it?
tried looking on the internet to no avail.  :(

Links to photos for example.

My 'Active' spec i30 doesn't have tweeters in the front, and I think the sound quality suffers for it.   So to try to improve it, I've got hold of some original mirror covers that do contain tweeters (they must have come from a higher spec i30), and I want to fit these in place of mine.
Now I was hoping that I would remove my mirror covers to find that the wiring for the tweeter would be there, ready and waiting...  But sadly it's not, so I have some wiring to do.  To help me with this, can anyone with the same model i30 whose car had factory-fitted tweeters tell me a bit about how they're wired?  ie. are they wired from the main speakers; if so is there a crossover somewhere?  Or do they seem to be wired directly from ...

A set of issues been bugging me if any one can help

ESC light comes on on every drive cycle at at 50 mph - stays lit. Turn car off/on it resets, then 50 mph again
Start/stop does not work
Cruise control won't engage
On gear change, revs seem to drop dramatically almost lurches

ODBII reader - no codes

I have tried - checking all wheel sensors/cleaned. All rotor teeth seem present
Brake light come on OK - so switch is good ?

Dealer wants £96 to read the code - thats a 5 min job - so I am fighting all logic to work out whats wrong than pay anyone who thinks thats acceptable price

If a wheel sensor, ABS light shoudl be on too
Throttle pos sensor would show hunting ...

Hi guys,
Has anybody used exhaust wrap on there Hyundai i30 1.6l CRDi. And if yes where? and was it worth it?
I have seen a lot of people use these wraps around exhaust headers, but on my car that's inaccessible, unless I lift the entire engine of course (impossible with the tools I have). So has anyone tried this product?
Many thanks in advance!
P.S. Here is a link of the product I am talking about :link: DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap - 2" X 50' Roll

I have checked everywhere I can think of, & my problem is without doubt is freeplay in the right side Ball Assembly that can be located at either end of the steering rack, & once upon a time, in other vehicles these ball assemblies were adjustable in order to remove the freeplay that one feels coming from the unit. I have had the car up on a hoist, & this loose Steering Rack Ball End Ball Assembly  on the right side is where the movement is coming from. My life before (courtesy of a  drunken driver) was as an Automotive  TAFE Teacher, & the Tradesman who checked the source of the wear out with me, was certainly one of the best Automotive Mechanics that left our TAFE College about 18 years ago.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, ...
