This forum surprises me every day with all the things you guys talk about lol.
We should (if anyone in Sydney) have a car meet for Hyundai i30's

Not sure if it would ever happen though lol..

Yes, it gets a bit like that. Apart from a few hiccups at the moment with our server, we are very happy the way the site ticks along.

Unfortunately active members are spread far and wide with only a few places with "pockets" of members living in close proximity. Perth WA and Southern Queensland being two of our stronger areas. There are few active mebers in NSW

It may partly relate to the popularity of the i30 in certain areas. The i30 has consistently been the best selling car in WA, due to a strong dealer network.

We have had some active members in country NSW at different times, but now "Lakes" in Narooma is the main NSW flag flyer and he no longer drives an i30 (after owning two which he loved)

We have a couple of other retired "Aussie" Cops on the forum. I'm a big supporter of the police. The way the world is we need a strong viable police force.

I haven't posted here in a while but since then I have left my career in the IT industry behind and I am now working for a telecommunications company. I am enjoying the change of scenery as well as the more relaxed working hours, an environment more conducive to calmer tempers and a very big pay rise.

I also have a work vehicle now so the i30 has done not even 1500km in the last four months - a big change coming from my previous annual mileage that was around 25'000km!

ah the memories,

I had one like this broken down to it's individual components by lunch on christmas day in the mid 70's.

I don't think my parents wasted money on a decent present after that. Not as indestructable as they were lead to believe and all at the expense of a bread knife.
