I'm wondering if my shockies are getting a bit tired.  :undecided:
I don't know what quality the originals are.
I first noticed it when I got my car back after it spent a week at a particular dealership. I hope it's just a coincidence.
When I drive over bumps on normal roads it's as if I can feel the car take a small step or hop sideways and is something I have never felt before.
The car has done 148,000 kms of normal driving on good bitumen roads.
Any thoughts appreciated.  :)

That's almost twice what mine's done and I haven't felt it but I've heard for years that that kind of loss of track is a shockie issue, so worth a look. :goodjob:

Why not get some quotes from Pedders and a couple of other Suspension specialists? Get a quote from a Hyundai Service Centre you trust as well as a comparison (if there is such a thing!) Surprised that it is necessary, but I don't think you are the first to mention it!

Mm.
I used to be paranoid once but it was just the voices in my head........
Pedders. I have never felt confident there. High prices, hard suspension springs to mind (see what I did there?  :D). Springs to mind...?? Oh, never mind.
I might do that and see what's available.  :)
I hope I'm on the right track with the shockies though.

I thought you might say that about Pedders, but independent assessments can be handy. Obligation free of course!

Anything after about 80k and your shocks have lost enough efficiency that if you drove two absolutely idntical cars, different only that one had new shocks and the other with 80k up, you'd notice the difference. By the time you get up towards 150k there's a big diference.
Doesn't matter if you've only been on bitumen. Every tiny body roll, corner, roundabout,  braking and acceleration is moving the shocks up and down.

Monroe OE quality replacements will do the job.

Would you consider places like Bridgestone Tyre Centres a good place to buy dampers or better at a specialist suspension place?
The reason I ask is that it was Bridgestone in Mandurah who backed my steering issue claim with Hyundai.

Bridgestone tyre centres would be fine Dave, if the price is right and you trust the people at the store  :goodjob2:

Definitely worth talking to them. If they're set up to do suspension repairs which  it sounds like they are.
