UPDATE: Arrived in Wagga on Monday. Car got a balance and adjustment Tuesday, full 37K service today. Skipped the dealer and went with my family mechanic. Came back and was told the throttle body was dirty and the whatever oil the dealership put in last service was s**t! Car now runs the day it did when I first drove it off the lot! So I guess that was the cause of the idle problems, the dirty throttle body.
As long as the mechanic is qualified and carried it out in accordance with the logbook using approved parts and consumables, you are covered.

Buy the consumables cheap online and then negotiate a lower price with Hyundai Dealer. Using the dealer with a relatively new car does look good in the log book and may simplify any warranty claims which may arise.I will be in a similar position for my next service on my Calais. I got 3 years/60,000 km free service deal when I bought it. Just had the last free service. My car is only 2 and a half years old with a 5 year warranty. I'm tempted to use the dealer but supply my own consumables. I just switched to a K & N Air Filter which will save paying for one of those at the 90,000 service.
