Hi! In my i30 gd there are many scratches in this part of the door interior - see this image:

I want to paint this part in all (4) doors in  similar grey color.

Does this plastic grey part is removable? Does anyone have paint it?
Or maybe are there any stickers in the same size for the i30 that I can stick
and so hide the imperfection of scratches?

Thanks!!!!

I've not yet seen anyone paint the trim so I'd say you'll have to take one of the trims off to see if it's possible to disassemble or mask off the rest of the panel so you could spray.

I just had a browse through some of the Korean auto sites and not one of them do a dress up sticker kit for the door accents, you could always buy some carbon fibre imitation (or similar) and make your own.

If the scratches are not deep, polishing the trims can be a good option.

The scratches are very large, the color have been removed in 10-20 places 0,5cm in diameter!
So it needs painting.

very easy - I gave my car for a month to my wife
(and is not a joke) The scratches are from a bag that  has some metallic
parts and were touching this panel.....

here is the problem and is from the driver's side.

I wanted to ask if someone knows for sure if this panel (grey)
is removable.

giasou Csideris ,

It looks like you have an active wife, . Enjoy!! :D

Now more good and bad news.

In the past , on other vehicles, I found the plastic trim too much bother to try and remove so I have masked the door panel and used an acrylic spray paint to refurbish the trim.
Down here we have touch up paint to suit the exterior of most new cars, so there is plenty of selection.
I use a lot of Greek made auto paint so my guess is you will find something suitable.

Now to get the plastic off your i30 door... at this stage no guarantee.
But, I will be stripping a GD door later this week so I will let you know your best option(s).

I don't think it's removable. How about vinyl wrapping it..?

Probably be surprised how cheaply you can get this done professionally if you shop around!

@Glacius  (Glac) from Norway is  wizz with Vinyl wrap...Pity he doesn't live closer!

I am thinking of this solution of making it and then painting it, it will be better and the color will last much more
as the original paint was very  thin and easy to scrach!

Thank you also nzenigma that you will inform me more after ur experience with the door of ur i30

Mate, Just took a door panel off.
The plastic is held in place by its own tabs ( many) that have been melted to resemble rivets.
If you don't have a life; it may be fun to heat them with a soldering iron and pull the mould off.  :disapp:
Cheers

Hery! =D

Yeah Wrap it would be easy =)  thanks for mention mate how are you guys! =)

Big news on my car front I will tell you all about it this week.

But yeah vinyl wrap is best and its not hard just make 100% SURe do NOT heat the vinyl while applying it, try to use as little heat as possible ,and stretch the vinyl first to a certain degree until you see you cant anymore then heat it , use " rapid air " vinyl for best result also " re heat " after you have finished to make sure its all settled in, also  let it stay untouched for atleast 24 hours =)

Good luck PM me if you neeed any help
