I hate saturdays.

Got up this morning, window mech was screeching going down, loud clunk going up.

One more time now, screeching down, better just ease it up near the top, tap, tap, tap on the button, BANG, rattle, rattle.

Fortunately, I have a spare assembly.

So I jump on the  PC to cool off, press button , booting, booting, windows, i30 club, cool........ clunk, black screen, reboot, clunk, reboot, flashing lights and error codes :argh:

Seriously WTF

Right,  still no PC , that's a battle for another day. Always told the Mrs I had 4 spare laptops for a reason.

A little something I noticed. Bumpstops or what's left or missing.

On my old one they were pretty good and intact, just prepping the replacement when I noticed this.

1 mashed, the other gone.

When Mrs G's SEAT Cordoba had its bout of breakages in the brittle electric window carriages, I was SO tempted to dive into 3D printing and corner the market. :crazy1:

Oh, and not a windows fan. Linux here. :D

While I have been vetted regularly, I can happily state that the Puppy has had no such need. :happydance:

Mate stay off the grog for a while and check this. There is an auto stop mechanism, I assume it is a pressure switch in the motor.  It may be faulty and stressing those bump stops etc.

I always thought it was current sensed. Too late It's all back together and I swapped the newer motor. Quieter and no more clunks.

May look at those replacement guides? Any experience with them?

No, the doors have all been working fine, even on the high ks models. Consequently, I'm only assuming the motor is pressure switching, you may be correct on current.
