I haven't heard any reports about loose suspension on i30's, it's likely someone who last worked under there didn't torque the bolt correctly :Dunno:

@May13

I'd like to know more about this.
I can't understand how a "manufacturing fault" can make a bolt stay tight for 6 years  then suddenly let it loosen.

Car was 2011 and went off the road in 2013
Literally?   :mrgreen:

So, was it just parked up for lack of use or some other reason?
Sorry to keep pushing this but I spent a lot of years working on suspensions,  mostly for rally cars and can't ever recall a bolt working loose over such a long time. Even 2 years is a long time. Icould understand it if a bush had deteriorated,  leaving space or releasing  tension on the bolt.
But I'm stumped as to any other reason.
One thing i've come to accept though is that there's always something new to learn.
Hence my interest.

Understand your interest completely. Trust me, whlist we knew there was something wrong the way the car went out of control, we were shocked to hear that causation was a loose bolt.  I bought car brand new in 2011.  Only serviced once by  at dealership where purchased.

Happy to chat and share all info with you when case is closed.

Many thanks
