Title: Should there be a light here?
Post by: naser_1998x on October 03, 2017, 23:42:20
Hi guys,
When I bought my 2011 Hyundai it was used, so I didn't know if there should be a light lighting. The thing I am talking about is shown on the image link.
And  If there is a light is it easy to remove the red casing?

Many thanks

Hi naser,
Just checked mine,  doesn't light either,  so am assuming it's a reflector. Will check owners manual.

Checked and no globes for that position.

Same on mine.

If you're super keen and creative you could always customise a light into the reflector. :D

Yes you could strap a torch to the side of the seat aimed at the reflector and turn it on when you open the door.

We could have all pranked naser and said there was a light (but too late now)  :Dunno:

But I'm not kidding. You can remove the lens and drill bright LEDs i to it!

Or even some strips, maybe just enough void and may even get the pigtails out past the clips
