Title: 2020 i30 Seatbelt light on centre console
Post by: Bugzr34 on May 22, 2020, 23:28:52
Hi, good to join the Hyundai club, my first one after years of Japanese cars. Nice little car and so far enjoying it.
I have only had it for a week since buying it new so keeping an eye out for any new car gremlins.
So far has been quite good to me.
One question I had was around the seatbelt warning lights coming on for 30 odd seconds when I take off after starting the car and putting into Drive.
They illuminate for 35 seconds and then go off. And only illuminate for seats which are empty. Is this normal behaviour or are the sensors playing up and and need to be checked at my next service. Cheers

Seems correct.
Similar mode ( driver seat) since the FD

Agree, if bum is in seat and not clicked in, or, unclicks you get warning.

Seats are empty. Still normal?

Yep.
My FD did that.
As does my current Corolla. Including the rear seats.
