x2
I use them in my BMW (motorcycle) for around a year now, fully enclosed like the i30 headlight unit. Works faultlessly and more importantly it was designed to create the same beam pattern the halogen globe does so it matches the vehicle to perfection.

Awesome thanks everyone will get some soon.

Did you happen to notice if on your LEDs the connection is reversed? I put mine in and they didn’t work I had to flip the connection so there’s technically nothing holding the power onto the bulb now.
-
I would have suggested a more modern bulb myself, the LED positioning and design are correct but those copper belted type are messy and probably take up more room than the JW direct fit bulbs.
Cheaper too :) :link: Where to buy JW Speaker LED Headlight Conversion Kits (https://www.ozled.com.au/headlight-led-bulb-conversion-kit-jw-speaker-direc)

I have the jw direct fit hb3s and the positive and negative are reversed on the bulb to what my power is

Aren't they bi directional :undecided: I guess you've tried switching left to right...if that makes a difference :undecided:

If the place you bought them from can't help I'd try contacting a local auto electrician, they should be able to make an adaptor lead to switch polarities for about $20.
