I need some help.  How can I remove the park light on the GD series. I have taken the cap off where the high beam is, removed it out of the way but I cannot tell how to change the tiny park light next to it. Is it a pull out, twist and pull, pray to the gods or something like that? :)

Thank you

Hi Gang,

Recently my partner was coming home at night and both low beam head lights had stopped working.

- checked the bulbs (didn't touch the bulbs) and both visually seem intact. tested with a DMM got a complete circuit and finally tested with a 12v supply and they light up.
- checked fuses all ok
- checked relay, relay clicks when swiched on/off. swapped with other relays still no fix. checked for power at relay with DMM and power ok. check earth at relay, earth ok.
- checked stalk on/on switch a bunch (relay clicks) so must be ok.

- checked power supply to bulb and
(earth ok)

need help with a Wiring Diagram if anyone has one for this...

Kangaroo start
Hello everyone,

I just got a Hyundai i30 and it has an issue with acceleration.

In the morning  when i drive to work it accelerates as it should with no issues.

When i am leaving work it starts to accelerate erratically.  As i drive away it acts like i am  punching the gas pedal and letting off.  The effect is so much that people have  looked and likely wondered why i was driving that way. It seems to go away after about 3 to 4th gear. One day it did this issue slightly all the way home in all gears.

During this my foot is on the gas pedal and all else seems normal.

The car is a 2011 manual diesel with 150,000 km. I just took the car to get a fuel line cleaning and the fuel filter ch...

Hi all, please help. 2008 Hyundai i30 SR, manual, very good condition, no previous probs, second owner of 5 years, 135k k's.

Driving home from work, the ESP light came on and my steering went heavy. Restarted car and back to normal. Then about 2km later, same thing, restart fixed it. 1km later same thing, restart fixed it. 500m later while sitting at lights, same thing but this time and turn off and turn on again didn't work, steering was still heavy and now the ESP OFF light is on. So now I have no power steering and car is challenging to drive.

I googled and there was a recall for the 2009 - 2010 version of my car for this very error. My car's not included though. Have called Hyundai and they say I have to take it i...

So far, so good  - only one speeding ticket - the missus got camera pinged - 130 in a 100 zone... :P .  Impressions - sits nicely on the road - can use the old Mini tactic of throttle feathering to tighten the nose in corners - we have a nice flowing windy back road by the river before we hit the main road.  A bit of thump/ bump from the low profiles, the tyres are very ordinary, so a change when due - Michelins probably. The current tyres are bloody noisey on chip seal. Like the AV system, the Hyundai sat nav doesn't have the roads we actually live on, but is fine in town.
Engine... not as much down low, as we would have thought,  but a good fat mid - range, ideal for passing the numerous truck/trailer combos on our main road into tow...

Hi all

I'm a newbie here, just got my active and am quite impressed with how featured it is for the base model. The only thing that has irked me so far is the colour difference between the daytime LED strip and the nighttime driving lights. I installed high temperature H7 halogens but they just don't cut it.

After reading through a few pages here and on other sites it seem that LED lights need a power adapter (i am guessing the 55W socket just won't do) and the space is very limited. Some people mentioned that the dust cap needs to be cut.

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with swapping these out? Any advice would be appreciated.

Door Locking
I need to get the actuators on two of my doors replaced   :( been quoted $1200 by hyundai. I've looked on ebay and all the actuators are used condition. I'm wondering whether its worth taking a gamble on them? Or is there somewhere else i could source a new one for reasonable price? Thanks in advance
