Thanks dazzler. So first thing this morning I had a call to say how sorry they were, and offered me my next service free, and $200 petrol voucher and an extra years roadside assistance.... Replace I told them no I wanted a new car... Jokes. I was very thankful to them. Very impressed

Hey, that's pretty impressive. And you didn't even have to go to the ombudsman

Wow!
THAT wouldn't have happened with a couple of the bigger companies.
They'd more likely threaten to sue you for bad mouthing their product.

Or my headlights 😔

What email address did you send to and who responded? Might address my next email to them directly and see if I get more help 😃

Have you received your 'survey' yet? I think they have a pretty big focus on customer satisfaction so good to see they have provided some old fashioned service to you, does go a long way. I probably got their back up questioning the wording of their brochure so cannot see the same coming my way any time soon 😳

Here's to many kms of happy motoring 👍

UPDATE 2: So, the knocking dissapeared again, then started to slowly come back.
The National head tech had to be called in for advice, so hyundai are now replacing the WHOLE
panoramic roof, apparntly its not in "parts" or the "Tracks" it sits on cannot come seperatly, so
they are completly replacing it (which means glass and all...).

This will be in 2-3 weeks as it will take that long to have the part shipped over...hmmm

When the noise starts again just open the roof slowly to see if it goes away or not.

I still have not been able to locate my rattle/vibration. It is coming from the Centre of the Dashboard, just infront of the gear knob. It is NOT the mirror, sunglasses holder or glovebox I checked all 3 of them and still rattles.

If this is was not enough, mine is a Diesel and it does it at around 1,700rpm (just before the turbo kicks in).

Any solutions on what it could be?
regards

There has been talk on here of taking out the Cubby on top of the dash and putting some padding between that and the top of the stereo to stop a persistent rattle but can't remember the details  :undecided:
