You seem to be doing 1400rpm at 70km/hr. Is that 5th or 6th.

Does the car really like that? My FD really isn't comfortable until 1700rpm or so. It will do 1500-1700 with a low pitched rumble which i take to be complaining.

I can't remember but probably fifth. It was at the bottom of a hill with foot off the accelerator so it wasn't complaining.

I filled up at the top of Greenmount Hill and that is the reading when I got to the bottom. I wish I could get that all the time. 
The problem is when I come home I have to drive up Greenmount Hill, plus there's the bit in between as well.

Yeah, the up bit is a bugger... Drove that hill many times. You can coast down to the Roe Hwy lights pretty much coming down.
