Am I right in saying all Diesel fuel in the UK has a cleaning agent added to it?

I'm exclusively using Shell V Power these days, the car runs smoother and a bit quieter when compared to the BP Ultimate.

The Coles shopper dockets give me my 4 cent per ltr reduction which saves about $2 per tank :)

Shell Vmax or V Power additive as it is called nowadays was specially formulated for the  Ferrari F1 team back in Michael  Schumacher days when he raced for them and made it's way to the forecourt pumps and it does make a difference helps the engine to burn fuel more efficiently.

An interesting read.
I tend to use only premium BP or Caltex fuels in my classic cars and so far, only BP 98 in my Honda CB400.

Reading that article it seems the same for all countries except for the bit about it being watered down

One thing that article doesn't discuss regarding Shell V Power is that if the bike is electronic injection then the bikes management system will automatically adjust the fuel to air ratios hence making it compatible to use in most modern bikes which is not taken into account with a 7 year old article, V Power runs great in my GSX and you can actually notice the improvement over standard fuels immediately  :)

Supermarket juice is the cheapest here, so that's where we go.

when i worked, i had a fuel card could only get shell with it, i put v power in the new 2.7 petrol hi ace van checked economy, put e10 in got same economy no difference in performance. but i did not expect to feel a difference. i think long term the v power would keep motor clem but i have never looked into a motor that only ran on v power. I have looked into a few motors that ran only BP 98 they were keen in the chamber, if you look at one that ran on normal unload they have black carbon build up.

but think we are talking Diesel here. :)
