Hello all, first time in this forum, hope everyone is ok!
My i30 1.6 SE Nav has suddenly stopped working correctly. I can only access the car by unlocking the driver’s door manually with the key hence no central locking or alarm. Runs ok with limited functionality. Following items not working - daytime running lights, headlamp main beam and flash, HRW, can’t unlock passenger or rear doors, can’t open electric windows or boot. Rear parking camera is fine but parking sensors not working.
Will clearly need to visit dealer but wondered if anyone could advise as to what might be causing these problems please.

Hi Paul,

 

A lot of those faulty components are connected to (and controlled by) a circuit box known as a BCM - Body Control Module.  A quick disconnect of the battery -ve lead for 30 minutes should reset the BCM and might make a dfference. It's an easy thing to try.

Don't forget to reconnect it

If no change, make use of that warranty while you still can.
