My use of Firty as an eBay mod bitch goes well, but I'm often wishing I had my own custom adapters. Christmas will have me getting a 3D printer, likely an Anet A8, which is cheap, kit form and suits my desire to get my hands dirty in the design and improvement approach of the printer itself.

Does anyone have any opinion or advice? I'd be happy just to know where and how I can get one for the best possible price.

Gee they are not exactly expensive ( the diamondback of 3D printers! )  :snigger:

Wouldn't you get something better and more versatile for say $1000?

I'm sure if you sold your first born you could afford to spend that much...  :undecided:

I buy $1 12V-to-5V USB power supplies and then install them in the car as general purpose and wireless charging solutions, for the joy of not buying $40 consumer versions. Do you really think I'd enjoy a plug-in-and-turn-on printer? :toldyou:

The most fun I'd get from that is assembling it, then ensuring the base is level.

I'm also thinking a 3D printer would be a great Christmas "gift" for me. I'm looking at the Ender 3 Pro though. I have to look up the A8 too.

Just it to many good ideas for things I want to print :)
