Hello all

Last month I upgraded to the new shape i30.
Great car with a nice new touch screen and rear camera, though the gear box is a lot more clunky then the pervous model I had.

Anyway, the last day or so I have noticed that when the car is under acceleration there is a vibration that you can hear, all be only for a few seconds but it's rather annoying, it's like a buzzing sound.

It can be heard in any gear at 2000 to 5000 rpm.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks, Matt

Congrats on the upgrade.

I've looked through your previous posts but couldn't work out whether you have had manual or auto versions.

I'm guessing manual?

Yeah it's the 1.4 petrol, manual

Cheers, obviously that will help people who want to reply with their experiences.  Putting more detail in your signature text helps in these situations.

Only if they are clairvoyant Dazz.

So far we know it is only an audible vibration ( buzzing) in any gear at 2000 to 5000 rpm.

Yet to be discovered:

Is it cabin interior or exterior body; or drive train? Is it from front, rear, left or right side?

Is it under or above the car?

Does anyone else notice buzzing....... in the car?

What frequency range is the buzzing? If this is too difficult, use the bee, wasp, moped or fart analogy.
