Hi, Happy New Year to everybody. A newbie here. I have a 2011 Hyundai i30 FD 5 Door Hatch, 1.4 Petrol model which needs a new windscreeen washer tank.
I've looked on eBay and various UK car part websites but it's not clear to me which is the correct tank for my model. I've found tanks with the Hyundai part number 986202L200 and also 98620A6010 which are supposed to be compatible with the i30 but neither seem correct for my particular model. Any help/advice on this would be much appreciated. All the best.

Hi and welcome here :goodjob2:

Does your car have the warning lamp if the fluid level is low? I believe this might make a difference in the part number as some models didn't have the sensor at all.

If you can get at tank see if it still has the sticker giving part number.

if its the warning light its the sensor not the tank itself.

If I recall I replaced it from below.

Or maybe that was on some previous car.

I'm getting old.

any part with 2L is related to the FD series, A6 is GD.

986202L200 is correct for sensor type and will be just the bare tank and grommet for the pump, no lid. 986102L200 will give you a complete unit, with pump motor, sensor, tank and lid

Non sensor bare tank is 986202L000

Just can you say why you need new tank.

Is it split and leaking?

Not pumping water?

Water not coming out of screen, front/back, nozzles?

Or something else?

I took mine out, which is far easier if you remove front wheel. Mine was full of gunk etc at the bottom, which had blocked pipe and nozzles. Takes time, but well worth the effort for shite free screen wash or blocked nozzles.
