Just got a letter from Hyundai. It said that some 2007-2012 i30 models may have some issues with the airbag. It may blow up in some cases when it should not. They will update the airbag control unit as warranty. It is nice that warranty still works with 12 year old car, but now I have to hassle with service and try to find a cheap loaner for the day...

Surely they should provide one as warranty work.
Check the warranty t&c's.

You'll probably find all they need to do is re-programme the airbag control unit so you might not be there very long....

It's just a software flash, Over here I booked all mine in and on average we just had to occupy ourselves for an hour.
