Hi All.

Just bought a 2012 Mk2 i30 Classic.  I think it's the absolute base level.  I work nights so the fact that it only has one interior light which sits behind front seats, is a bit useless.

I've already ordered a used front unit, with the 2 lights plus glasses case.  Does anyone know if the harness will be there already, or will i have to find a way to wire it in?

Thankyou in advance.    :D

p.s  I will look into replacing the current one with led bulb to brighten it up a little.

Pretty sue you will be our guinea pig with this mod. There is a thread on here about swapping interior globes to LED. Pretty straight forward.

I've had a look in roof lining and this plug was taped up very close to where the light should be..  Fingers crossed.

To anyone who's changed the bulbs, does it look like the plug? Thanks.

My kind of mod, well done. :goodjob:
I didn't realise your MK2 has the same cluster as Firty, who sports LEDS up there now as well.
I dealt with those internals a fair bit to steal power for my dashcam.

Thanks all.

Wiring wasn't too tricky but was slightly different to the one I cut loom out of at the breakers.

Few more little projects to do and questions to ask.   :winker:
