My wife's i30 SR is due for it's 60k service and the air filter is in need of replacement. I thought I would call a local dealer that sells both Kia and Hyundai parts. I gave them the part number and asked the price Kia price, it was $52.95 and the Hyundai sale price was $65.45. The prices will alter a little dealer to dealer but I will ask for both prices on everything in the future. The Ryco part can be found for about $30 on line but I'm not a fan of them as they are not great quality.

Maybe try searching online for a genuine filter if you don't like the quality of the RYCO ones.

Yep, once you have the correct part number it is pretty easy to search online.

Using the often identical Kia part can certainly save money at times (but not always)

I remember making quite a saving on a diesel fuel filter for our 2008 i30 CRDi (I got the Kia equivalent for the Diesel Kia Soul I think - whatever it was, was same engine anyway) and saved over $30 If I remember correctly.
