Has anyone tried to remove the centre console?  I want to look for a ring I dropped through gap below the handbrake. The car is a manual. Cheers.

No I have not............yet anyway.

When I looked once there are several screws which you remove plus the ones within the box itself and I then I would expect it just pulls away.

easy... in the console bin there is 2 screws under the carpet square, remove them, unclip the gear knob boot... remove the shifter surround, by pulling up by grabbing by "under" the vinyl (i think there is 2 screws under there...) pull the little trim clips off in the footwell, un do the screws then unclip the front plastics in the foot well then it lifts out...

its not hard just a pain in the backside... takes about 10 min to do!

yes i have done it, but it was a few months ago so the details might not be spot on where the screws are... its pretty much what you do, if your REALLY stuck ill pull mine apart again and take photos for you on friday, just PM me...
