i know there is the wired bluetooth option that goes up on the pillar, but seriously, considering the i30 has so much value already, why can't it have integrated HU bluetooth?? i've been trying to read more into it all and nothing seems like  a perfect solution to already having it in the HU.

i believe even the Getz has this as standard?
- the mind boggles.

I would imagine it will come to the i30 (perhaps in the next update) Hyundai are better than some at rolling these things out..

Because our dash is virtually designed around the head unit they can't just whack a different head unit in with this added facility....

Is anyone using a Parrot?  If you are which model and how is it working?  My dad has one in his car and it works great but wondering how well it works in the i30.

Yes they seem to be the one that every one is talking about.

And if it works as it should it will mute the music and send the call through the main speakers.  Thats how it works in my Dads car.

icatcher fitted one: https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,334.0.html

I also seem to remember that Merlot has a Parrot and MRHI30 has a Hyundai original; you'll have to search "parrot" to find Merlot's posts.

I have a factory unit fitted in mine.  Mutes the stereo, which means if you want to adjust the volume of the call, n point adjusting the stereo volume........  You have to use the tiny button on the microphone pod mounted on the top corner of the windscreen.

Sound is good whilst travelling - my wife didnt realise I was driving when she called me the other day.  If you are stopped then the sound can be a little bit echoey. - but not too bad.
